Depression is another very common reason people seek counseling with me.

Depression can show up as:

-Feelings of sadness, loneliness, or hopelessness.


-Loss of pleasure or motivation

-Difficult Sleeping or Sleeping more than usual

-Eating More or Less than Usual

-Increase in Anxiety

-Feeling worthless, guilty, or self blaming.

-Lack of energy, feeling “heavy” physically & mentally

Depression can be present despite what is going on externally in your life, so don’t let others tell you to just “snap out of it” or get over it. Working in a safe space with a counselor on symptoms can be a great step in managing depression.
